The classic styled interiors of Peter Nolden.

Peter Nolden is an interior designer from Germany and the owner of Peter Interior Design in Hamburg.

I knew that somewhere between my lots of magazines, collected during the past years, I had seen in one of these a wonderful article about Peter Nolden’s design. And after browsing into a couple of magazines, there it was…in the first issue of 2008 of the prestigious Dutch magazine More Than Classic. I definitely wanted to share with you the pictures of this article!

In the article, 2 houses decorated by Peter Nolden, were shown.

The first house, is a castle in the French Normandy, owned by Peter.

The house was built in 1800 by a local farmer but was fallen into ruin. So it took some time to restore the house into a comfortable  home, before Peter Nolden could move in his, now beautiful decorated,  holiday castle.

The house counts a lot of beautiful original details such as the panelling and the marble chimney pieces.

The castle with the wonderful restored windows.

3

Peter planted a lot of trees around the house.

The original restored stair.

6

The beautiful living room is decorated in pastel shades. The 19 th century furniture is of French origin.

7

The sofa is designed by Peter himself.

Through the house, we notice a lot of 18th century portraits.

8

Peter loves to combine French, English and Swedish elements.

The baroque table was bought in Switzerland and Peter painted it in aubergine. The 19th century bergère is French and the 18th century footstool is of Swedish origin.

9

Peter loves to cook for friends.

I hope you enjoyed meeting Peter Nolden, another European designer to be proud of.
