Kenneth Cobonpue, designer furniture event in Melbourne
From New York to Paris to Hong Kong, renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue is a leader in the new contemporary Filipino design collective. Team mecho was invited to an exclusive showcase at Hermon & Hermon in Melbourne this week but as we unfortunately are unable to attend, we still want to share some of his work with you here. Wouldn’t you love having a snooze in the Lolah Seating Capsule or Operetta Lounge?You can also find Cobonpue’s handcrafted pieces in world-renowned Nabu restaurants, in the movie ‘Oceans 13′, and in hotels from Beverly Hills to London to Dubai. He has also been recognised internationally with awards for design excellence as well as his inclusion in the prestigious International Design Yearbook.
His work combines contemporary design with traditional methods and crafts, each year he creates a distinct collection that uses natural rattan in surprising new forms. Also, previously featured Kenneth Cobonpue Halo Disc Ceiling Lamp.
